兔眼脉络膜上腔植入微电极阵列芯片的相关研究
Experimental research of suprachoroidal insertion of the multichannel electrode array in rabbit eyes
目的 探讨兔眼脉络膜上腔植入二氯代环二聚体为基底的铂微电极阵列芯片的手术方法、并发症和该芯片的组织相容性。方法 12只健康成年青紫兰兔,左眼为手术眼,右眼为对照眼,于鼻下方角膜缘后5mm处切开巩膜暴露脉络膜,将微电极阵列放置于兔眼后极部脉络膜上腔,于术后3 天、14 天、30天观察芯片位置,OCT扫描研究植入术后微电极阵列与视网膜、脉络膜的关系,并分析手术并发症情况。结果 12只兔眼都成功植入微电极阵列芯片,其中1只眼发生脉络膜、视网膜破裂,缝合切口后在另一只眼植入芯片;5只眼在术中发生脉络膜出血,芯片成功植入;2只眼发生芯片折叠,取出芯片后重新植入。术后眼底检查、OCT检查及组织学检查发现芯片位于脉络膜与巩膜之间,没有明显的视网膜、脉络膜损害。结论 兔眼脉络膜上腔微电极阵列芯片植入术是一种安全有效的微电极阵列芯片植入方式,二氯代环二聚体为基底的铂微电极阵列芯片组织相容性良好。
ITo investigated the surgical procedure, complications, OCT appearance histological changes and the biocompatibllity of the of suprachoroidal Parylene-based multichannel electrode array in rabbit eyes. Methods A flat electrode array (parylene plate, platinum electrode) was developed and used for this study. After performing a scleral incision at 6mm from the limbus and placing an anchoring suture, the array was inserted into the suprachoroidal space in the posterior portion of the eye by direct observation under a microscope in 12 adult healthy chinchilla rabbit. The clinical examination including direct ophthalmoscope, and optical coherence tomography were performed in 3day, 14 day, and 1 month. The histological examinations were performed at 1month under light microscope. Results All the flat electrode arrays were successfully inserted into the Suprachoroidal space of rabbits. One eye injured the choroid and retina during the surgery and 5 with mild hemorrhage during the surgery. Optical coherence tomography demonstrated good position of the arrays and no significant retinal edema and retinal detachment were observed. Histological examination showed no significant inflammatory changes. Conclusions suprachoroidal multichannel electrode array insertion is a safe surgery, with little damage to the retina and choroid and without inflammatory change after surgery.
