Incorporation of Pt nanoparticles and multi-wall CNTs for methanol electorchemical oxidation has been studied. Pt/CNTs have been assembled by improved wet chemical process. Pt nanoparticles distribute uniformly on CNTs with high density. As electrochemical catalysts, Pt/CNT catalysts exhibit high electrochemical activity for direct methanol fuel cells. The well-disperse Pt nanoparticles with homogeneous size on CNT supports can improve the activity of Pt/CNT catalysts.
