碎屑锆石U-Pb年代学快速发展成为地学研究中一个有效的工具。由于锆石广泛存在于各类沉积环境中,且锆石中包含了大量的地质信息,同时锆石定年的精度和效率的提高,使得碎屑锆石U-Pb年代学的运用越来越广泛。U-Pb年龄是通过计算锆石中235U、238U和232Th的衰变所获得的。但是锆石的放射性铅的丢失等因素会使其U-Pb年龄不谐和。碎屑锆石U-Pb年龄被用来限定地层最大沉积年龄、物源分析、描述物源区的特征等方面的研究。在未来,碎屑锆石U-Pb年代学需要不断提高测年的精度、准确度和效率。
etrital zircon geochronology has a rapid development as an essential tool in geological research. because of the widespread occurrence of zircon in sedimentary systems; abundant geological information that can be extracted from zircon crystals; and the ability to determine ages with reasonable precision, accuracy and efficiency, the applications of detrital zircon geochronologic information arise lots of new ideas. A reliable geologic age comes from a set of measured U-Th-Pb dates. Many Issues arise like Pb loss can result in that the measured dates do not correspond to the true age of crystallization. Ages can be used to constrain maximum depositional age, reconstruct provenance, characterize source regions, and apply to other aspects. In the future, Detrital zircon geochronology need enhance precision; accuracy and efficiency.
