“史前大洪水”事件在黄河中-上游地区是否普遍存在？

here has been established a controversial issue in academia that whether the prehistoric flood prevalently existed in the large area before the Xia dynasty. To study the issue, this paper statistically analyses the distribution and number of the paleoflood events in up-middle reach of the Yellow River by reviews of the previous research results. The results reveal that the paleofloods mainly occurred in up-middle reach of the Yellow River between 4.30-4.00 ka. The article compares the time and coverage of the paleoflood events in up-middle reach of the Yellow River with the legend of Dayu's Flood Control, and the results reveal that the prehistoric flood events prevalently existed in up-middle reach of the Yellow River between 4.30-4.00 ka.
