LED display is made up of dot-matrix LED module or pixel , which makes the flat display screen, it can show changes in the figures, text, graphic images, and it is widely used in the modern commercial advertising or information signs. I make the design with a 16×64 character dot matrix display with the main control module AT89C51, it can dynamically display Chinese characters and time and temperature information. Taking simply 8×8LED matrix as an example, the paper introduces the basic working principle of the display.
