his paper introduces a mode control scheme to achieve servo motor torque control, which is based on the Galil motion control card. Through the hardware platform constructed and software programs written, this system can realize this goal of sending commands from Galil motion card to servo driver and controlling the servo motor to move under the torque mode. This system completes control by using LabVIEW to program on PC, it communicates with Galil card through the card own port. This scheme has been applied in the Precision rail straightening machine, and the process was simple and convenient, the result was meeting the straightening machine work holding needs.
