his article presents a realization scheme for smart antennas with baseband processing. The transmit and receive diagrams are included in the system. The signal processing in RF, high or intermediate frequency domains are not required, therefore the number of high frequency components is reduced. With baseband signal processing, the system stability and feasibility are enhanced while the complexity is reduced. By the complex weighting and the signal combing on baseband, it realizes the transmit and receive beamforming. In this article, the system architecture, the work principle and the block functions are described. The practical test was conducted.
