Realization and Study of Collision Detection Based on Ray Tracing Principle

本文从球体对平面、柱体及球体间的碰撞检测方面分别分析了光线跟踪碰撞检测理论及算法,并进行了仿真。虚拟环境中碰撞检测技术的实时性、精确性和完备性是技术的关键,然而由于该算法在实现过程中每条射线都要和所有的物体求交运算,对于复杂的3D场景应用上需要大量的计算,具有一定的局限性。但是针对简单的场景,光线跟踪碰撞检测算法能达到实时精确的碰撞检测。基于光线跟踪原理利用Win32平台和OpenGL开发工具对球体进行了仿真,实验表明模拟效果真实,有效。

his paper respectively from the collision detection among spheriods with planes,cylinders analyzed the ray tracing principle and realized the algorithm. Real-time,accuracy and integrity are the key targets of the collision detection in virtual reality system, but the ray tracing principle has limited application for 3D complex scene beacause of massive computations for intersection of rays with erery object. However,in the view of the simple scence, this algorithm meets real-time and precise for people\\\??s requirement. Based on ray tracing principle using Win32 platform and OpenGL,the experimental results indicate that this approach is both effective and realistic.
