New Image Entropy Definition and Its Application

将Boltzmann原理引入数字信号领域,建立了序列的统计力学,提出了图像Boltzmann熵的概念。并将这种Boltzmann熵与图像Shannon熵进行系统的比较,得出如下结论:图像Boltzmann熵本质上体现了像素的空间分布特征,天然用来衡量点集空间分布的混乱程度。最后对这种新的图像熵在图像的分类、评价、测量等领域的应用进行初步的探讨,发现了很多图像Shannon熵无可比拟的优势。

In this paper, we induct the Boltzmann principle to the field of digital signal processing, construct a statistical theory of series, put forward the concept of Boltzmann entropy of image. This Boltzmann entropy compared with the Shannon entropy of image, we come to conclusions: the Boltzmann entropy of image reflects the spatial distribution characteristics of pixels in the nature, and could be used to measure the irregularity of the spatial distribution of the set of points. Finally, we make initial exploration with this new image entropy in image classification、image evaluation、image measurement and other fields, found many advantages with Shannon entropy.
