黄原胶流变特性实验
Experimental study for Rheological Behavior of Xanthan gum
随着生物流体力学研究不断深入,寻找能够较好模拟血液流变特性的替代物以研究血液的非牛顿特性对于相关实验结果的影响具有十分重要的意义。正常人的血液是一种典型的非牛顿流体,大血管内血液的表观粘度约为3.5cP左右,具有剪切稀化的特性,随着剪切率的增加,其表观粘度不断减小。当血管内剪切率大于100s-1时,血液表观粘度趋于恒定,呈现出牛顿流体的流动特性。本文利用Brookfield LVDV-III+流变仪及Brookfield恒温水浴对不同浓度、温度条件下黄原胶的流变特性进行了实验研究。实验结果证明作为一种非牛顿流体,黄原胶溶液具有明显的剪切稀化流动特性,其表观粘度与剪切率成反比。其中0.3‰的黄原胶溶液在30℃时,剪切率在10s-1-500s-1范围内的流变特性曲线与血液的流变特性曲线以及粘度基本吻合,可以作为血液的替代工质,并应用于相关的实验研究中。
Finding a suitable substitution to simulating the rheological behavior of blood is essential in experimental studies on biofluid mechanics. Blood is a typical non-Newtonian fluid with shear thinning property. Its apparent viscosity is about 3.5cP in human arteries and will decrease as the rise of shear rate, when shear rate greater than 100s-1, the apparent viscosity of blood is nearly constant which behave like Newtonian fluid. In this study, rheological properties of Xanthan gum solution under different concentrations and temperatures were investigated. The results show that Xanthan gum solution also is a non-Newtonian fluid with shear thinning property. Rheological and viscosity curve between 10s-1-500s-1 of 0.3‰ XC solution under 30℃ is especially similar to that of blood, so it is a suitable working fluid to simulate blood's behavior.
