间苯二酚/甲醛凝胶骨架合成及孔结构调控规律

通过sol-gel方法制备得间苯二酚/甲醛凝胶(简写为RF gel)是一种具有潜在应用前景的新材料。本文在分析凝胶缩聚物形成基础上,提出改变催化剂种类及用量是调节孔尺度、孔分布的重要途径。分别采用无水Na2CO3与Ca(OH)2作为催化剂,调节间苯二酚与催化剂的摩尔比(简写为R/C值)得到不同孔结构的凝胶骨架。对比凝胶形成时间的差异并结合凝胶微观形貌、比表面积表征结果分析,揭示凝胶孔结构调控规律,即在同样的催化剂含量下,采用无水Na2CO3作催化剂得到的凝胶微孔更多;R/C值越小,反应时间越短,RF凝胶比表面积越大,但当R/C值小于50时,RF凝胶比表面积急剧减小。为在较短的时间内得到大孔容的凝胶骨架,最终确定适宜的工艺条件为,采用无水碳酸钠为催化剂,R/C值等于50,成胶时间约为30min,所制备的凝胶孔比表面积在580m2/g以上。

Resorcinol-Formaldehyde gel (abbreviation RF) with application prospect is a new material synthesized by sol-gel method. On the basis of analysis the form of gel condensation polymer, this paper presents that altering the type and quantity of catalyst is one of the important methods to adjust pore size and distribution. According to the contrast of gel time and experimental data tested by SEM, TEM and BET, the rules of regulating pore structure were indicated. Namely, while the same amount of catalyst used Na2CO3 or Ca(OH)2 was added into solution, the pore volume of gel prepared by Na2CO3 would be larger than products synthesized by Ca(OH)2. Reaction time will shorten and the specific surface area of RF gel will increase with the mole ratio of resorcinol and catalyst(R/C) value reduced. However, specific surface area decreases severely while R/C value is smaller than 50. Thus the appropriate technological parameters are listed as followed: anhydrous Na2CO3 is used as catalyst, R/C value is equal to 50. Under condition of above mentioned routing, the specific surface area of gel pore is larger than 580m2/g.
