n interface between TMS320C6000 DSP and character LCD is proposed in detail. In order to make the introduction applicable, C6713 and HD44780U are used as an example to indicate how to develop the interface. Moreover, the hardware scheme and the program of C language initializing HD44780U and displaying some characters are presented. The interface and corresponding program have been tested, and the result shows it works very well.
