多种无线接入技术的飞速发展为用户提供了更丰富的网络资源的同时,也使得未来无线网络环境变得更加复杂。为了充分利用网络资源,实现用户终端永远保持最佳连接(always best connected),一个有效的接入网选择方案是关键因素。本论文根据效用理论提出了一个接入网选择机制,在为用户的每个业务提供最佳网络选择的同时,兼顾了网络的实际负载情况,避免发生网络拥塞。

he development of a variety of wireless access technologies will provide users richer network resources. However, it also makes the wireless network environment becomes more complex in the futrue. To make full use of network resources and keep user terminals always best connected, an effective access network selection mechanism is the key issue. Based on utility theory, an access network selection mechanism is proposed to provide the best network selection for each user application. Simulation results indicate that this mechanism can make full use of network resources while reducing energy consumption and monetary costs.
