寄主心叶蜡质含量对水椰八角铁甲成虫取食和产卵的影响
Wax content of host central leaf on feeding and oviposition of Octodonta nipae adult
本文测定了水椰八角铁甲4种寄主植物心叶表面蜡质含量,分析了蜡质含量与水椰八角铁甲成虫取食和产卵的关系。结果表明,水椰八角铁甲不喜欢取食的蒲葵心叶的蜡质含量最高,而偏好取食的棕榈、海枣、刺葵心叶的蜡质含量较低;水椰八角铁甲成虫在棕榈、海枣、蒲葵叶片的选择性取食量,是去除蜡质叶片高于未去除蜡质叶片。同时,寄主叶片蜡质含量小于某一阈值时,水椰八角铁甲的取食并不受寄主蜡质含量的影响,而当蜡质含量超过这一阈值时,则蜡质含量是限制水椰八角铁甲取食的关键因素。在去除蜡质的蒲葵叶片上的产卵量比对照叶片上的产卵量大,且与棕榈、海枣上的产卵量无显著差异,表明寄主心叶蜡质对水椰八角铁甲产卵的影响明显。但寄主心叶表面蜡质含量对水椰八角铁甲取食和产卵抑制的机理需进一步研究。
In this paper, central leaf surface wax contents of 4 host plant of the nipa palm hispid (NPH), Octodonta nipae (Maulik), were determined, and the relationship between the feeding and oviposition of NPH and wax content was analyzed. The results showed that the leaf surface wax content of Chinese fan palm (CFP) Livistona chinensis R. Br, which host palm was not preference by NPH, was the highest, however, the wax content of fortunes windmill palm (FWP) Trachycarpus fortunei (Hook.) H.Wendl., canary date palm (CDP) Phoenix canariensis Hort ex Chabaud, and pin kui (PK) Phoenix hanceana Naudin, which host palms were preference by NPH, were lower. The selective feed intakes of NPH on FWP, CDP, and PK with removing the leaf wax were higher than that without removing the leaf wax. At the same time, the host leaf wax content was less than a threshold value, the feed intakes of NPH were not affected by host wax content, but when the wax content exceeded this threshold, the wax content is a key factor in limiting the feeding of NPH. The oviposition amount in CFP leaf with removal wax was larger than that without removal wax, and the oviposition amount among CFP, FWP and CDP were not significant difference, those showed that the effects of wax content on oviposition of NPH was obvious. However, the inhibition mechanism of host leaf surface wax content on the feeding and oviposition need for further research.
