目前的LED显示屏控制系统普遍采用单片机+FPGA的组合形式来实现,此种设计不便于产品升级和技术更新。针对这种情况,本文提出一种基于嵌入式NiosⅡ软核的设计思想,将硬件设计软件化,主要功能集中在一片FPGA上来实现,在SOPC Builder内根据需要来配置CPU,设计非常灵活,免去了修改硬件电路的麻烦,从而缩短了开发周期,降低了成本。 本系统主要由显示屏、控制板和PC上位机组成,控制板主芯片采用Altera公司Cyclone系列的EP1C6Q240C8芯片,图文数据由上位机通过串口发送给控制板,经处理后送屏显示。

t present, most of the control systems of the LED display screen are implemented by MCU and CPLD/ FPGA, which is not easy for updating and upgrade. In order to solve the above problem, a new thought based on NiosⅡ processor with an embedded soft-core is put forward in this paper. So, the hardware design is realize by software. The main function can be realized on one FPGA chip. And the CPU can be configured in the SOPC Builder, making it flexible to design. And it gets rid of the troubles of revising hardware, which shorten the design cycle and reduce the cost of the production. This system is mainly composed of display screen, control board and PC.The EP1C6Q240C8 chip of Altera Corporation’s Cyclone family is used as the main chip. The data is sent through the serial port.
