Effects of waveguide dispersion on transmission performance of multimode waveguide channel

结合模式群分集复用技术,单独激励和检测多模波导内的所有模式,通过对波导色散和色散因子的分析,研究了波导色散对矩形波导通道内传输性能的影响。通过推导,给出了仅在波导色散影响下多模波导通道传输速率的表达式,同时分析了传输速率与波导结构的关系,对现有多模波导通道性能的提高具有一定参考价值。

By means of modal multiplexing, each mode of an optical multimode waveguide is selectively excited and detected. The effect of waveguide dispersion on transmission performance of a rectangular multimode waveguide was studied through analyzing the waveguide dispersion and its dispersion factor. An expression of bit rate in multimode waveguide only under the influence of waveguide dispersion was given. At the meantime, the relationship between waveguide structure and bit rate was analyzed.
