he cigarettes were selected as the experimental material, which was to explore the effects of 27 smoke organic acids on the cigarette sensory quality. Organic acids in the main stream smoke were determined by TSQ Quantum XLS, and sensory evaluation was conducted by a smoking group composed of 12 professionals. And the data was analyzed by partial least squares regression (PLSR) to find the correlation between the smoke organic acids and sensory quality. The results indicate that irritating, offensive odor, physiological strength and formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid are related positively. Aroma quality, smooth, through onset have a positive correlation with butyric acid, 3-methyl-butyric acid, oleic acid. Sweetness has some relevance to many low molecular acid, but the correlation is not significant. Impacts of organic acids on smoke characteristics vary significantly. Cigarette smoke has a significantly positive correlation with butyric acid, 2-methyl-butyric acid, 3-methyl-butyric acid, fifteen acid, palmitic acid and oleic acid.
