下颌第三磨牙拔除后面部软组织正貌及下颌骨形态学变化的研究

Objective：This study used cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) to evaluated the changes in soft tissue on the frontal view and morphological changes of mandibular after the extraction of mandibular third molar. Methods：Twenty adult patients (aged 18-30years) with bilateral mandibular third molars were randomly selected. CBCT was taken before extraction, 6 months and 12 months after extraction. Twelve soft tissues and mandibular hard tissue indexes on the frontal view were compared before and after extraction. Paired t-test was used to analyze the soft tissue and mandibular hard tissue changes after extraction. Results：The results of 6 months and 12 months after tooth extraction showed no statistically significant changes in facial soft and hard tissues compared with that before tooth extraction. Conclusions：The extraction of the mandibular third molar has no significant effect on the soft and hard tissues of the face.
