目前在无线通信的切换算法中自适应技术是一项非常重要的技术。文献[1]中的自适应切换算法把用户的移动速度作为切换算法的一项参数。它根据检测到的用户速度的大小自适应的调整切换激活时间。文献[1]的仿真结果表明算法在没有显著提高算法的复杂性的同时提升了系统的性能,包括乒乓切换率、阻塞率以及掉话率等等。因为算法简单而有效,所以对它在其它3G系统或其它传播模型下的性能进行评估显得很有必要。TD是我国自主研发提出的3G标准,而Manhattan模型是3G系统下典型的传播模型。本文主要评估文献[1]提出的切换算法在TD系统以及在Manhattan模型下的性能。仿真结果表明在TD系统下算法就像在WCDMA系统下一样简单有效,但是对于在Manhattan模型下的车载用户却没有任何用途。

prevalent underlying theme is the adaptive technique used to control the handover of users. An adaptive handover algorithm developed in [1] takes estimation of vehicle velocity into account. It sets different values of triggering time according to estimated movement. Simulations in [1] suggest that it is simple and useful. It improves performances of communication systems, including rate of ping-pong handover, rate of blocking users and rate of dropping calls. Because of its simplicity and usefulness, performances in other systems and under other propagation models are necessary to be evaluated. Manhattan model is a typical propagation model in 3G systems, so performances evaluation of the proposed scheme under Manhattan model is very necessary. The pilot signal strength in TS0 could be measured to estimate the movement of users, so the scheme could also be evaluated in TD-SCDMA system. This paper aims to evaluate performances of the proposed scheme in TD-SCDMA system and under Manhattan model. The results suggest that it’s useful as well as that in UMTS, but regretfully useless under Manhattan Model for traffic users.
