紧密粘连(zonula occludens,ZO)蛋白是紧密连接蛋白复合体中的胞浆蛋白,属于膜相关鸟苷酸激酶蛋白超家族的成员,含有多个特征性结构域,作为桥梁分子连接多种跨膜蛋白和细胞骨架。多种外源性或内源性刺激可通过激活其信号转导通路影响ZO蛋白的表达、分布、磷酸化以及与其它分子的相互作用,进而调控紧密连接的结构和功能。本文将对ZO蛋白在紧密连接中的作用作一综述。

Zonula occludens (ZO) proteins are vital scaffold proteins of tight junction and link integral membrane proteins to the actin cytoskeleton. As members of the membrane associated guanylate kinase-like protein family, ZO proteins contain many specific domains that directly combine with diverse transmembrane and cytoplasmic proteins. Many extracellular and intracellular stimuli can affect ZO proteins expression, distribution, phosphorylation, and the combination with other proteins through multiple signaling pathways. Here we summarize recent studies on the role of ZO proteins in tight junction.
