White blood cells in the human body plays a vital role, researching on white blood cells is now more and more. Automatic segmentation and identification of white blood cells is the computer image processing and pattern recognition applications in the field of medical images, which is an important research topic, having important clinical significance. This paper systematically reviewed the method of identifying white blood cells and discussed. In recent years, there is growing emphasis on the classification of the various white blood cells, and expect to get a real-time nature of the algorithm.
