Linear polarization rotator via an L-shaped nanohole in a metallic film
本文提出了利用在金属膜上的L形纳米孔作为亚波长线偏振旋转器的方法,并利用FDTD方法对其调控入射光偏振的性质进行了研究。偏振旋转的机理源于L形纳米孔两个正交模式之间的180度相位差。通过改变纳米孔的长度,其工作波长可以方便地在735-1080纳米之间调谐。
n L-shaped nanohole in a gold film is proposed to realize linear polarization rotation of light at subwavelength scale and its optical properties are analyzed using the finite difference time domain method. The mechanism of the polarization rotation is based on the 180 degree phase retardation between two different resonant modes with orthogonal polarization directions in the L-shaped nanohole. The working wavelength of the polarization rotator can be tuned conveniently in the range of 735-1080 nm by varying the hole length.
