中国与美国就业差异的空间结构分解研究
Spatial Structural Decomposition of China and the United States Employment
中国与美国均属于参与国际贸易的大国,但前者就业规模远大于后者。为准确识别国家间就业差异来源,本文运用空间结构分解方法区分两国劳动密度差异、中间消耗结构产业、最终需求差异对于中国与美国诱发性就业差异形成的贡献。实证结果表明,劳动密度和消耗结构效应依次是两国就业差距形成的关键原因,最终需求效应能抑制两国就业差距,其中资本积累效应的正向作用大于净出口效应的正向作用,而消费需求效应是引起就业差距减少的唯一因素。从具体行业来看,两国初级行业、劳动密集型服务业及公共服务业在劳动密度、消耗结构上的差别引起大量就业差异,维持上述行业的就业是我国稳定就业形势的重要举措。
Both China and the United States are significant in international trade, but the former has far more jobs than the latter.In order to accurately identify the sources of employment differences between countries, this paper uses the spatial structure decomposition method to distinguish the contribution of labor density differences, intermediate consumption structure industries, and final demand differences to the induced employment differences between China and the United States.The empirical results show that the labor density and consumption structure effect are the key reasons for the employment gap between the two countries, the final demand effect can restrain the employment gap between the two countries, the positive effect of capital accumulation effect is greater than the positive effect of net export effect, and the consumer demand effect is the only factor that causes the reduction of the employment gap.From the perspective of specific industries, the differences in labor density and consumption structure in primary industries, labor-intensive services and public services between the two countries lead to a large number of employment differences. Maintaining employment in the above-mentioned industries is an important measure to stabilize the employment situation in China.
