Naphthalimide carboxylate derivatives were synthesized and their fluorescence spectrum was studied in this paper, these compounds were characterized by NMR、MP, such compounds can act as water-soluble PET fluorescent molecular probes. We explored their effect on metal ions in neutral aqueous solutions. The results showed that they had a selective recognition towards Pb2+, the complex was formed by the donor and the receptor as the stoichiometry of 1:2, the stability constant of the complex was 3.46 × 106.
