界面效应对高分子溶液粘度的影响

本文利用自制的聚四氟乙烯作毛细管基材粘度计测量了中性高分子聚氧化乙烯(PEO)水溶液的粘度,并与常规玻璃毛细管粘度计的实验粘度测量结果进行比较,结果显示界面对高分子溶液的粘度测量存在影响,并依据吸附学说发展了粘度测量过程中界面效应的定量理论,并给出了描述界面作用的理论公式,指出粘度异常是源于粘度测量过程中高分子溶液与毛细管内壁的界面作用。
Using a viscometer with PTFE capillary, viscosity measurements, in the dilute concentration regime, of aqueous solution of neutral polymer polyethylene oxide(PEO) with molecular weight ranging from 100,000 to 1000,000 were carried out, the experimental results were compared with those from glass viscometer. Then viscosity parameters were obtained by fitting the obtained viscosity data and analyzed. The results indicate that the apparent viscosity phenomenon due to solute adsorption onto glass capillary inner surface in the course of viscosity measurement. According to the adsorption theory of neutral polymer solutions, a description of quantitative relationship of viscosity of neutral polymer solutions can be found.
