中国HIV VPR基因多态性分析

Little sequence information is available for human immunodeficiency virus type 1(HIV-1) vpr genes of Chinese origin. In our study, we analyzed HIV-1 vpr genes isolated from HIV-1 infected patients of South China. Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and nested PCR was used to amplify HIV-1 vpr gene. Using BLAST, Clustal W and Mega biological analysis software, we found vpr sequences mainly included subtypes as follows: CRF01-AE (51.63%), subtype C (24.84%), subtype B (17.65%), CRF03-AB (3.92%) and CRF08-BC (1.31%). The proportion of the glutamine (Q) is 84.3% in the 77th position of the 154 deduced amino acid sequences, which differ from overseas reports.
