联机帮助用户使用行为研究

Research of user behavior of using online help

联机帮助是继用户手册之后发展起来的一种主要帮助形式,然而它的使用情况并不乐观,本身仍然存在很多问题。这次研究就从两个目的出发,第一发现联机帮助现存的可用性问题;第二,也是最主要的,掌握用户寻求和使用帮助的行为特点,为下一步的改进工作做准备。测试也分成两部分,且采用不同的可用性测试方法。结果发现了几个影响用户使用帮助的行为特点,如:用户的查找过程、阅读习惯等;另外,也总结出帮助中不符合用户习惯的几个方面,以及它们的问题所在。

Online help is a primary help form developing after user manual. However the use of it is not optimistic, and there are still many problems about online help now. The research has two purposes, one of which is to discover usability problems existing in online help, and the other is realizing user behavior characteristics of looking after and using help to help the following improvement research, and this section is more important. Test is composed of two parts, which are completed by different usability test technique. In conclusion, I list some behavior characteristics influencing using, for example the looking up process and reading custom of users etc. Otherwise I also summarize many aspects of help not according with user habit and there problems.
