he association between HPV infection and cervical cancer is so strong that HPV is now considered the first positive cause of cervical cancer ever identified. This raises the level of concerns over the treatment and prevention of HPV. Many guidelines exist for the treatment of warts, but very few of the treatments have been tested by blinded, randomized controlled trials. Here we give a brief background of the epidemiology of HPV and then present a comprehensive list of the therapies and vaccine that have been reported in the medical literature.This evidence-based review provides a comprehensive overview of the wart treatment literature and may benifit the patients presenting with warts.
