his paper describes the advances in nitrogen and phosphorus removal mechanism study on constructed wetland. In the nitrogen removal process, nitrification and denitrification is believed to be the main mechanism for nitrogen. In the phosphorus removal process, the media is believed to be the main mechanism for phosphorus. The efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus removal can be affected by water temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen.
