基于PLX公司的桥接芯片PCI9054和可编程逻辑器件(FPGA),本文设计并实现了PCI接口电路。采用FPGA实现与PCI9054本地接口的信号转换,能有效降低设计难度,缩短开发时间,减少成本,并能获得较好的PCI总线数据传输性能。 本文介绍了PCI9054的工作原理和中断机制,从硬件电路设计、寄存器配置、FPGA程序设计等方面详细阐述了采用PC19054和FPGA开发PCI系统板的过程。
Based on bridge chip PCI9054 from PLX Company and the programmable logic chip (FPGA), this paper completes the design and implementation of PCI interface circuit. The signal conversion with local interface of PCI9054 is realized by FPGA, which can effectively reduce difficulty of implementation, reduce development time, reduce costs and obtain better PCI data transfer performance. This paper first narrates the capabilities and characteristics of PCI9054, and then introduces the whole process of the development in three aspects: hardware design, registers configuration and FPGA VHDL design.
