Qualitative Analysis of Gene Regulatory Networks Based on Angle Discretization
基因调控网络的分析有一个假设,即时间序列表达值变化趋势相似的两个基因可能存在调控关系。因此,对基因表达数据进行角度离散化,可以反映出基因表达值的变化趋势和程度,从而定性分析基因间的调控关系。计算基因时间序列表达值中相邻两点连线的水平夹角,使基因表达数据角度化。然后,比较角度化后每个行向量中相邻角度的大小,依据角度离散化规则,将基因表达数据离散为6种状态。离散化后的6种状态不仅反映了基因表达值的变化趋势,还反映了变化程度。通过作差和相关频率方法辨别出存在调控关系的基因。
here is a hypothesis in the analysis of gene regulatory networks, if the time-series values of two genes change in a similar trend, the regulatory relationship may exists between these two genes. Therefore, the use of discretization of angle to deal with gene expression data will reflect the trend of change of gene expression values so as to make it possible to analyze the regulatory relation between genes qualitativly. At first, we drawed a line between the neighboring gene expression data. Thus an angle between the connected line and the horizontal line is formed..Secondly, we calculated those angles and applied them to replace the gene expression data. In the third step, we discretize the gene expression data into six states by comparing the neighboring angles according to the defined rule of angle discretization. The six ststes reflect not only the trend but also the change degree of gene expression values. In the end, the genes having regulatory relation will be identified through the substruction and the relative frequency methods.
