海带多糖干预动脉粥样硬化发生的炎性调控机制
Studies on the Inflammatory Regulation Mechanism of Laminaria japonica Polysaccharide for the Prevention of Atherosclerosis
海带是一种常见的海产食品,对心脑血管疾病具有明显的辅助预防作用。本研究采用LDLr-/-小鼠动脉粥样硬化实验动物模型,分析海带多糖对高脂饮食诱导的动脉粥样硬化的干预效应。结果表明,海带多糖不仅能显著改善高脂饮食导致的小鼠血管病变与硬化斑块形成,而且能显著抑制小鼠血管局部的炎性发生,提示调节机体免疫力、抑制炎性反应的发生可能是海带多糖干预动脉粥样硬化发生的作用机制之一。
Laminaria japonica is an important marine vegetable with great health-benefits for preventing cardiovascular disease. The aim of the present work was to study the anti-atherosclerosis activity of L. japonica polysaccharide using the LDLr-/- mouse model of atherosclerosis induced by high fat diet. The obtained results showed that L. japonica polysaccharide can not only attenuate the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, but also significantly inhibit the vascular inflammation in mice, indicating that the inhibition of inflammation could be one of the underlying mechanism for L. japonica polysaccharide to resist atherosclerosis.
