he Technology of MEMS and Its Applications in Optical Network
随着光通信技术特别是密集波分复用系统(DWDM)的迅速发展,光交换设备逐渐成了制约网络通信速度的瓶颈。而基于微机电系统(MEMS)的光交换设备被认为是未来高速全光网络中光交换设备的首选。微机电系统(MEMS)是一个新兴技术,它的出现为解决许多领域上的难题找到了出路[1]。通过大量调研,以下简要介绍MEMS技术的主要特点和MEMS光开关在通信网中的应用、重点介绍MEMS光开关的结构及其发展趋势。
With the development of optical communication technologies, especially the DWDM system, the development of optical switching equipment gradually became restricted. The optical switching equipment that based on MEMS is considered to be the first choice in the all-optical networkl in the future. MEMS is an emerging technology, it is a solution in many fields on the problems. According to great deal of research, As follows it is briefly introduced that the MEMS technology’s main features and MEMS technology in the application of optical communications. It is emphasized on the structure and the current development trend of MEMS optical switches.
