理解区域发展的一个新视角：社会经济承载力——以甘南州玛曲县为例

Regional development will not only depend on natural resources and ecosystems, and also on the social systems and economic systems which gradually become stable in the process of the long-term development. The social and economic bearing capacity indicates that under the base of the bearing capacity of the ecological environment, when the most sustainable, rapid and developmental speed the specific region will reach, while holding the present socio-economic system relatively constant，which includes the endogenous stability and sustainable capacity and the reforming capacity when impacted externally, both being in the regional system. Research shows that the social and economic bearing capacity of Maqu County, continue strengthen, but the fluctuations are large. Among them, after 2000 years, the bearing capacity of Maqu County has obvious decline. This phenomenon deserves discussion and reflection of all walks of life.
