厚朴酚抗金黄色葡萄球菌生物膜活性研究
ntimicrobial efficacy of magnolol against Staphylococcus aureus grown in planktonic and biofilm cultures
本研究通过体外药物敏感性实验测定了厚朴酚对金黄色葡萄球菌及其生物膜的抗菌活性,用6孔板进行细菌培养,建立了体外金黄色葡萄球菌生物膜模型,考察了厚朴酚不同MIC浓度的抗金黄色葡萄球菌生物膜的作用。药敏实验结果表明:厚朴酚对金黄色葡萄球菌浮游菌的MIC (Minimum inhibitory concentration)和MBC(Minimum bactericidal concentration)分别为4μg/mL和16μg/mL,对其生物膜的MIC为64μg/mL,MBC为>512μg/mL。由实验结果可知,厚朴酚在体外具有明显的抗金黄色葡萄球菌及其生物膜的作用。本研究结果表明厚朴酚是一种有待开发的抗金黄色葡萄球菌及其生物膜的有效药物。
It has been shown that magnolol, an active component isolated from the traditional medicinal plant Certex Magnoliae Officinalis in China , has antimicrobial activity against a variety of bacteria and fungi. In this study, we demonstrate that magnolol shows antimicrobial effects against S.aureus grown in planktonic and biofilm cultures.Coverslides was used to grow S.aureus biofilms in 6-well plates and magnolol at different concentrations was edded to the plates to observe the morphology of biofilms after the drug interaction.The rusults show that the MIC and MBC of magnolol for S.aureus in suspension and bio?lm are 4 and 16μg/mL respectively, while the MIC and MBC of magnolol for S.aureus inbiofilms are 64 and >512μg/mL respectively. It is obvious that magnolol has antimicrobial effects against S. aureus grown in planktonic and bio?lm cultures. Even better,it can destroy the established biofilms produced by S. aureus. These results indicate that magnolol may serve as a promising lead compound for future antimicrobial drug development.
