江苏省引进外商直接投资影响因素的实证分析

Since “opening to the outside world and reform”, Jiangsu province has received larger scale of foreign direct of investment which has been a great driving force to economic development of Jiangsu. Based on time series data from 1987 to 2007, this paper investigates the relationship between foreign direct investment and its potential influential factors: market scale, openness, labor cost, labor quality, traffic conditions, the third industry, cumulative foreign direct investment and policy. The empirical result shows that cumulative foreign direct investment and market scale both have a significant positive effect on foreign direct investment inflows of Jiangsu, while labor cost has a significant negative effect. And other factors’ effect on foreign direct investment inflows is not significant.
