一种基于Xen的虚拟机自动迁移系统设计

随着服务器虚拟化技术在云计算数据中心的应用,虚拟化各项技术快速发展,其中虚拟机实时迁移技术由于具有资源整合、负载均衡、节能省电和应用于例行维护等优势,成为虚拟化技术中重要发展分支。然而当前的虚拟机实时迁移只能是由管理员人工选择要迁移的虚拟机和接收端物理机,当高负载虚拟机过多时,人工迁移效率是很低的。本文基于Xen虚拟机引擎设计了一种虚拟机自动迁移系统,该系统可以自动的发现热点/冷点物理机,并根据资源池内所有物理机负载自动识别出正确确模式,并按照预定义的迁移决策算法做出决策,并通知相应的物理机将虚拟机迁移到指定物理机上。整个迁移过程无需人工干预,可实现数据中心的物理机负载均衡和节能省电功能。
s the server virtualization widely applied to cloud computing datacenter, the technique develop rapidly, especially live migration of virtual machine. Because of the advantage that live migration can be used in resource integration, load balancing, power saving and machine routine maintenance, it has become one of the most important technique in server virtualization. However, the migration can only be implemented manually by the administrator. Suppose tens or hundreds of physical machines are overloaded, the administrator can not deal with such problem immediately. In this paper, we design an auto-migration system,which can discover the hotspot machine and automaticly recognize the scenario pattern, then migrate the virtual machine to specified physical machine. The process of migration can executed automatically and the system can implement load ballancing and power saving.
