PowerPC平台U-Boot移植的研究
Research on U-Boot Transplantation with PowerPC Platform
宽带通信控制器是基于PowerPC平台的Linux嵌入式系统设备。U-boot是嵌入式系统设备的CPU上电后加载的第一段运行代码。在内核映像执行之前完成相关的底层硬件的初始化,建立各存储模块和设备的地址映射关系,然后为内核提供引导参数,最终启动系统内核。本文针对基于MPC8555E处理器的高速传输数据平台,给出了在PowerPC平台系统设计中U-boot移植的关键点。着重研究了针对PowerPC平台的U-boot的启动流程的设计,以及与DDR移植密切相关的时间参数和寄存器的配置,并完成对NAND和网口驱动的支持。
he controller of boardband communications is one of the Linux embedded system equipment, which is based on the PowerPC platform. U-boot is the first running program after powering on the embeded board. U-boot performs the specific hardware initialization and set up the memory space and other tasks before the embeded operating system kernel image executes. After that it provides the boot parameters for the kernel and starts up the kernel. According to the hardware platform for high-speed data transmission based on MPC8555E processor, the paper analyzed U-boot's boot sequence, and then introduced porting process and ways on the system design of PowerPC platform. Focuses on the study of design for the U-boot reset, and the configuration of ddr's time parameters and registers. Finally completed the support of U-Boot for NAND and Ethernet driver.
