CDN-P2P Hybrid Architecture and Application
目前有两种技术实现流媒体的分发——内容分发网(CDN)和端到端网络(P2P)。这两种技术都有其各自的优点和局限性:内容分发网能够有效地保证服务质量,但可扩展性差;P2P技术具有良好的可扩展性,但无法对用户进行有效的管理,而且在种子少时,无法保证服务质量。鉴于两种技术在性能上的互补,本文提出了一种CDN和P2P混合分发模型,阐述了其网络架构,并讨论了其在未来网络流媒体视频直播中的应用。
here are two types of streaming media technology distribution - content distribution network (CDN) and End-to-End network (P2P). Both techniques have their respective advantages and limitations: Content distribution network can effectively ensure the quality of service, but has poor scalability; P2P technology has a good scalability, but it cannot effectively manage users, meanwhile, when there are fewer seeds, it cannot guarantee the quality of service. Considering that the two technologies complement each other in the performance, this paper represents a hybrid distribution model of CDN and P2P, as well as its network architecture. Finally, it discusses the application in network streaming video broadcast in the future.
