本文简单介绍了缓速器的发展历史，重点叙述了液力缓速器的基本结构、工作原理和控制方式，并对液力缓速器的制动效果做了初步的分析。
In this paper,the history of hydraulic retarder are introduced briefly. Espacially ,the structure ,principles and control modes are presented.Finally ,we make an elementary analysis about the braking effect of hydraulic retarder in the vehicle .
