his paper explains the principle of sampling frequency down-converters under variety of modulating modes and presents a new kind of figures characterization of modulating frequency of the RF-If converters. The calculation formulas of sampling frequencies and their significant digits are brought forward, it can be concluded that and their significant digits are not related to the modulating bandwidth of the radio frequency and are only determined by the spectrum resolution of the intermediate frequency. Some detailed computing examples are given.
