he application of virtual reality technology to science and education is the hot fields at present. But, there are several problems in the developing of virtual reality experimental platform or lab, such as technique, method and thought etc. This paper discussed the developing method of net virtual reality material test platform (NVRMTP) form the view of software developing based on the developing of net virtual reality metallographic test platform (NVRGTP). The design of NVRMTP should follow the certain principle as following: system positioning demand analysis preliminary design detailed design. The developing skill of virtual reality system which based on VRML is illustrated in this paper, and may be important to the development of other system.
