微波制备柚子皮生物质活性炭及其在偶氮染料吸附中的应用

Microwave preparation of biomass activated carbon from pomelo peel and its adsorption of nitrogen dye

以柚子皮为原料,氢氧化钾为活化剂,建立一种微波制备柚子皮生物质活性炭吸附剂的方法。考察活化剂浓度、微波辐射活化时间等因素对该生物质活性炭吸附性能的影响,并建立该生物质活性炭对亚甲基蓝吸附的动力学模型,研究其吸附动力学。结果表明:活化剂浓度为25%,浸渍时间24 h,微波功率800 w,活化时间3.5 min的工艺条件下制得的生物质活性炭的比表面积为523.34 m2/g,总孔容为0.316 cm3/g,平均孔径4.637 nm。柚子皮活性炭对亚甲基蓝的吸附符合Freundlich等温线模型,属于二次动力学吸附,吸附量为16.56~35.95 mg/g。在此基础上我们将制备的柚子皮活性炭应用于偶氮染料的吸附,以中性红和结晶紫为代表,相应的吸附量分别为239.95 mg/g和456.30 mg/g,吸附率均可达到90%以上,具有实际应用价值。

Use pomelo peel as raw materials and potassium hydroxide as activator to establish a microwave treating preparation method of pomelo peel biomass activated carbon adsorbent. Batch experiments are conducted to study the effect of activator concentration, and radial activation time on the adsorption performance of biomass activated carbon. By establishing the dynamic model of methylene blue adsorption, the adsorption kinetics of biomass activated carbon is studied. The results reveal that under the technological conditions of microwave power of 800 W, the activator concentration of 25%, dipping time of 24 h, activation time of 3.5 min, the biomass activated carbon is optimized with specific surface area of 523.34 m2/g, total pore volume of 0.316 cm3/g and average pore diameter of 4.637 nm, which meets the standard of macro porous activated carbon. The adsorption kinetics was studied by pseudo-first-and pseudo-second-order models, and the adsorption isotherms were studied by Langmuir and Freundlich models. The pseudo-second-order model and Freundlich isotherm were found to fit well the adsorption characteristics of the as-prepared activated carbons, and its adsorption capacity is up to 16.56 -35.95 mg/g. On the basis of these, the pomelo peel activated carbon was used to adsorb azo dye, representative by neutral red and crystal violet, their adsorption capacity were 239.95 mg/g and 456.30 mg/g respectively, adsorption rate both over 90%, has practical application value.
