Introduction of Simulator SUMO for Internet of Vehicles

Internet of Vehicles(IoV) is of great significance in preventing traffic accidents, improving traffic efficiency and ensuring personal safety. However, in the special highly dynamic and multi-random network environment of IoV, whether it is modeling analysis of traffic models, path planning or protocol design, how to simulate the real traffic environment during simulation is an important issue. After investigation, the simulator SUMO can simulate the real traffic network well. This article introduces a simulation method for building a transportation network with a SUMO simulator and using Python scripts to interact with SUMO.
