Lorentz force as volume density vector is introduced to consider the action of electromagnetic field to stratum movement, and the results which are out of common sense are obtained. Non-zero volume force density vector leads to a special eigenvalue problem. When the external speed which corresponds to volume force density is small and negligible, eigenspeeds are the same as those of ordinal P-wave and S-wave; otherwise, eigenspeeds are determined by the product of the external speed and the ration of wave numbers in x- and z-direction, and theoretically can have extremely large value. The electromagnetic force can significantly impact to eigenspeeds of stratum movement, and this viewpoint has considerable importance in researches and applications of Earth science and technology.
