Purpose/significance] With the development of knowledge platforms, it has been an important issue to improve the function and design of knowledge platform through systems evaluation. The article is aimed at exploring the evaluation elements and criteria for the evaluation of knowledge platform.[Method/process] The article is start up with the evaluation of information retrieval. It reviews related studies on the evaluation of information retrieval systems and digital libraries, especially addressing the theoretical models, elements, and criteria of digital library evaluation.[Result/conclusion] Based on the review and discussion, the article identifies and addresses the elements and criteria for the evaluation of knowledge platforms.
