Research on Channel Reservation in Low Earth Orbit Satellite

由于低传输时延和低发射功率优势,低轨卫星通信成为卫星通信中的重要研究方向。然而,在低轨卫星中,新呼叫阻塞率以及呼叫切换阻塞率过高的问题一直存在。这两个问题中,切换阻塞率会带来更大的影响。在本文中,我们提出了一种基于业务到达率、切换率和服务率的信道预留方案。理论分析和仿真验证了本文所提出的方案可以有效降低系统的切换阻塞率。

Because of the low propagation delay and low transmit power, Low Earth Orbit(LEO) satellite plays a significant role in satellite communication. However, there are still many problems remaining in this field, such as new call blocking probability and handover call blocking probability. It is believed that the latter one is less desirable than new call blocking probability. In this paper, the channel reservation scheme based on arrival rate and call service rate has been investigated. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show our proposed method reduces the probability of handover call blocking.
