his paper examined the actor and partner effects of adult attachment and conflict resolution behavior on close relationship satisfaction. Participants included 37 student couples. Each individual completed Experiences in Close Relationships inventory and Relationship Assessment Scale. Couples then engaged in a discussion of problem solving for 15 minutes in the laboratory.The discussion were videotaped and coded. Dyadic analyses were conducted using the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model. The results indicated that:1.Male adult attachment avoidance negatively predicted the male own relationship satisfaction (an actor effect).2.Female adult attachment avoidance negatively predicted the female own relationship satisfaction (an actor effect).3.Male constructive conflict resolution behavior positive predicted the partner's close relationship satisfaction (an partner effect).
