转录激活因子3 (activating transcription factor 3,ATF3) 是转录因子ATF/CREB家族成员之一,是一个适应反应基因,调节细胞内和细胞外各种信号的改变,参与细胞中的多个过程。实验表明ATF3在细胞凋亡和细胞周期调控中扮演双重角色,从而影响细胞增殖和肿瘤的发生。研究ATF3在肿瘤中的调控机制、与肿瘤发生发展的关系等有助于寻找治疗肿瘤的新的策略。
ctivating transcription factor 3, a member of the ATF/cyclic AMP response element-binding (ATF/CREB) family of transcription factors, is an adaptive-response gene. It senses the alteration of signals in the extra- and intracellular environment, and participates in multiple cellular processes. Studies have certified that ATF3 plays a dichotomous role in apoptosis and cell cycle, therefore, ATF3 could regulate the cell proliferation and tumor progression. Researches on the expression and regulation of ATF3, and the relationship with tumor progression will contribute to look for the new strategies in cancer therapy.
