Gas pollutants emission has influenced human quality of life and become a severe problem. Effective prevention and control of pollution depends on useful pollutant monitoring. Optical and spectral techniques are one of the best gas monitoring techniques. In this paper, we introduced four gas monitoring techniques and analysed their technical characteristics in detail.
